Test Engineer

Job Title: Test Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for end-to-end testing activities of integrated systems.

• Carry out testing lifecycle activities including test planning, analysis of business and system requirements.

• Prepare test environments, design and develop test cases, and execute test procedures.

• Automate test solutions using scripting or programming languages and perform performance tuning.

• Create traceability to requirements, analyze gaps, and address testing issues.

• Log, track, and manage defects through to closure.

• Conduct test reviews with internal and external stakeholders.

• Perform root cause analysis for production and user acceptance defects and address test gaps to improve testing efficiency.

• Develop design documents and user manuals for test automation solutions.

• Implement and maintain automated testing pipelines within DevSecOps frameworks, integrating functional, performance, and basic security testing throughout the development lifecycle.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in software testing and test automation involving devices (UI-based or embedded) and/or back-office systems.

• Familiarity with the full software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, development, testing, and deployment.

• At least 3 years of testing experience on Windows operating systems.

• Experience in testing on Unix/Linux, Embedded Systems, or cloud-based testing environments is an added advantage.

• Good written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team.

• Software testing certification is preferred.

• Experience in diverse test execution phases such as System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and Performance Testing is an advantage.

• Experience with DevSecOps tools such as Confluence, Jira, Xray, GitLab CI/CD, or similar platforms is an advantage.

• Experience with API security testing automation and microservices security validation is an advantage.
