Job Objectives
- Execute and implement test solutions to characterize and validate photonics devices.
- Coordinate test setups, fixtures, and equipment capabilities in alignment with the company's technology and product roadmap.
- Integrate test systems with in-house manufacturing processes to ensure stable, efficient, and reliable production testing.
- Support continuous improvements in test efficiency, automation, and data analysis to enhance product quality and yield.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and maintain test workstations and production testers, primarily for optoelectronics, laser chips, and electronic components.
- Analyze test data to identify yield and process improvements, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions.
- Conduct failure analysis, root cause investigations, and generate timely test reports with detailed analyses.
- Coordinate project test schedules, cross-functional communication, and support new production line setups.
- Maintain and improve test scripts, software, and related technical tools to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Design, fabricate, maintain, and upgrade test fixtures and tooling to support product testing.
- Develop and maintain SOPs, work instructions, test documentation, and training materials.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance, calibration, and optimization of test equipment and systems.
- Coordinate with vendors to evaluate, qualify, and implement new test equipment, manage installation, calibration, layout planning, troubleshoot issues, and drive equipment upgrades and functionality improvements.
- Develop and transfer test methods from R&D to volume production, ensuring stable and reliable testing processes.
- Enhance test efficiency through automation, digitalization, and continuous process improvements.
Minimum Education
- Diploma or Degree in Optoelectronics/Photonics/Electronics/Electrical Engineering/Physics or similar with 2-3 years experience.
- Training in semiconductor-based light-emitting optoelectronics is preferred.
Minimum Experience
- Minimum of 2 years working experience with technical background in optoelectronics, optical components, and photonic device systemsand sub-systems.
- Provenworking experience in the optoelectronics manufacturing industry.
Specific Knowledge / Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration across cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, and other Office applications familiarity with Python or C# , SQL is a plus.
- Hands-on experience with electronic soldering tools, electronic and optical test instruments.
- Familiarity with electronic circuits, optical systems, and digital/analog circuits preferred.
- Knowledge of semiconductor lasers and related concepts is an advantage.
- Experience in hardware/software integration is preferred.
- Familiar with Gage R&R and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities, with proven experience managing complex workflows and priorities.
