Role Overview
We are seeking a Test / Equipment Technician to support semiconductor test and manufacturing operations by ensuring the stable operation, maintenance, and quality of test equipment and hardware.
This role plays a critical part in enabling smooth production by working closely with Test Development Engineers (TDEs), manufacturing teams, and equipment vendors.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
A. Equipment Installation & Maintenance
- Install, set up, and qualify new test equipment and systems
- Perform routine maintenance, calibration, and verification of ATE (DMDX, ETS88, LT‑XAC), TEL, Synax handlers, and lab instruments
- Identify abnormal behavior and execute first‑level troubleshooting
B. Test Hardware Support
- Inspect, install, and maintain probe cards, load boards, and sockets
- Perform basic hardware repair, rework, and soldering as required
- Manage hardware inventory, usage tracking, and basic documentation
- Work with engineers and vendors to resolve recurring hardware
C. Manufacturing & Lab Support
- Provide hands‑on support for NPI qualification, pre‑validation, and HVM production
- Assist during tester bring‑up, correlation, and engineering experiments
- Support HVM activities including tester move‑in/move‑out and line recovery
- Maintain lab cleanliness and comply with 5S and safety requirements
D. Documentation & Process Discipline
- Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, calibration records, and equipment status
- Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality guidelines
- Support audits and internal reviews related to equipment readiness and process compliance
E. Collaboration & Escalation
- Work closely with Test Development Engineers to support debugging and issue resolution
- Escalate complex or repetitive issues to engineering teams with clear problem descriptions
- Coordinate with equipment vendors for service and technical support when needed
Requirements:
- Diploma or higher in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields with 3+ years experience in semiconductor manufacturing, test production, or industrial equipment maintenance
- Hands‑on experience with ATE systems, handlers, or test hardware
- Basic understanding of semiconductor test flow and manufacturing processes
- Experience supporting High Volume Manufacturing (HVM) operations
- Familiarity with basic electrical, mechanical, or electronic troubleshooting
- Willingness to work in a manufacturing or lab environment
- Ability to follow procedures with attention to detail and discipline
- Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional teams
