Who is MARVES Consulting

MARVES is the consulting firm specialised on Triple'A implementation, integration and customisation. We have the largest and most senior team of TAP experts in Europe with many Triple'A founders from Odyssey / Temenos having joined our team. We are covering all business functions and technological layers of Triple'A. We also develop in-house applications as accelerators or to enrich Triple'A functionalities. MARVES has offices in Switzerland, Luxembourg and Singapore. MARVES is currently actively expanding in Singapore to service its clients in the region.

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Test Automation EngineerConsultant to join our team on a contract basis, working on-site or hybrid with major banking clients in Singapore. In this role, you will design, implement, and maintain automated testing solutions for core banking applications, including web, mobile, and API-driven systems. You will collaborate with client teams in Agile environments to enhance test automation maturity, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive quality in high-stakes financial projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Design and develop automation frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber (BDD), TestNG/JUnit, and Java.

- Automate functional, regression, integration, and end-to-end tests for banking systems

- Perform API testing using tools such as Rest Assured or Postman, and execute SQL queries for data validation.

- Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, Git).

- Analyze business requirements, create test plans, and identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency.

- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and QA teams on defect management and resolution.

- Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and ensure adherence to banking regulations and security standards.

- Mentor junior team members and contribute to best practices in test automation.

Requirements

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

- 4+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 2-3 years in test automation.

- Proficiency in Java and key automation tools: Selenium (essential), Cucumber, TestNG/JUnit Appium for mobile testing is advantageous.

- Experience with API testing, databases (SQL), and version control (Git).

- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum, tools like Jira and Confluence.

- Prior experience in banking/financial services domain (e.g., core banking platforms, payments, wealth management) is strongly preferred.

- Knowledge of CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven) and regulatory requirements in finance.

- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to adapt in client-facing consulting environments.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with banking platforms such as Temenos or similar.

- Certifications like ISTQB Advanced Level in Test Automation or equivalent.

- Exposure to performance testing or cloud environments.
