You will discharge the duties and responsibilities of the office consistent with the principles, standards accordance to the Orders and Regulations of The Salvation Army. You will conduct the affairs of the office responsibly and efficiently and motivate staff to do likewise.
You will conduct all activities of the office with a view to accomplishing the mission of The Salvation Army as described in its mission statement.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assure territorial compliance with all Orders & Regulations/Operating Policies related to personnel.
- Assist to direct the development of policies and processes related to people management in the territory.
- Assist to direct the disciplinary processes related to officer and employee matters in the territory.
- Assist in all development initiatives in the territory, inclusive of appraisals/ performance management, education, conference attendance, institutes, Brengle, ICO, etc.
- Assist to direct the strategies and processes related to candidate recruitment.
- Assist to direct all processes supporting officers compensation and benefits.
- Assist to direct all processes related to employees in the territory, inclusive of compensation scales, pensions, benefits, regulatory compliance, health & safety, WSIB, job evaluation, appraisals, recruitment and hiring, orientation, labour relations, personnel records, policy development, EAP.
- Assure appropriate pastoral care is provided for officers, guiding the development of new initiatives that support officer wellness.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum Diploma
- Minimum of 10 years of working experience in pastoral care
- Able to work independently and collaboratively with members
- Organisational skills
- Analytical ability
- Problem solving skills
