Temporary IT Desktop & AV Support (6-month Contract)

IT Desktop Support

• Provide first-level desktop support for end-user devices, including laptop/desktop hardware, peripherals, printing, software and connectivity issues
• Assist with laptop/desktop provisioning, imaging, deployment and returns, including device setup for staff onboarding and offboarding
• Provide first-level support for in-house NUSX systems and standard productivity applications, escalating unresolved issues to the Lead, Services Operation, NUS IT or appointed vendors in accordance with established support arrangements
  
  

AV Support

• Provide AV setup, operation and teardown support for events, town halls, workshops and meetings across i3, BLOCK71 and Curie venues
• Conduct pre-event AV checks (audio, projection/display, video conferencing, recording and livestream equipment) and provide on-site technical support during events
• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance of meeting room and event space AV systems; log and escalate faults to vendors where required
  
  

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Media Technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• At least 1-2 years of relevant experience in IT helpdesk/desktop support and/or AV technical support
• Working knowledge of Windows/Mac end-user environments and AV systems (audio mixing, displays/projection, video conferencing platforms such as Zoom/Teams)
• Able to work independently across multiple sites, manage concurrent requests and support occasional events outside standard office hours (with time-off arrangements per prevailing policy)
• Service-oriented, dependable and comfortable engaging staff, tenants and external vendors professionally
  
  

This is an hourly-rated position.
