Telecom and Security System Engineer - Contract 2 years

Key Areas of Responsibility

• To work with Project Manager and Engineers to review design inputs and schedule planning.

• To perform and review the basic design & detailed engineering while guiding the engineering team in issuance of the engineering deliverables.

• To prepare and review system block diagram, Functional Design Specifications, termination diagram and other critical engineering deliverables related to system design concept and installation work

• To assist Project Manager and Engineers in identifying design changes and submission to clients for variation orders.

• To perform engineering site verifications (site surveys).

• To assist Project Manager in preparation and compilation of the material requisition list and material specifications for procurement.

• To initiate utilization of best engineering practices, training, tools, and methodologies.

• To perform and guide the engineering team in the design or configuration of hardware & software.

• To prepare the testing procedure and execute the testing of system for acceptance by clients.

• To assist and supervise site installation and commissioning works.

• To prepare and update the as-built documentation in a timely manner.

• Pre-sales: Develop comprehensive engineering proposal during tender stage with compliance to industry standards

• Pre-sales: Analyze proposals with reference to project requirements, cost estimates, and collaborate with various departments to ensure competitive and compliant bids.

• Pre-sales: Collaboration with cross function team (Sales, P&E, Procurement, LOB) to ensure proposal are submitted timely basis

• Pre-sales: Presenting proposal solution to client and stakeholders

Academic and Technical Requirements:

• Qualified engineer with a specialized Engineering degree preferably in Electrical Electronics, Mechanical with System knowledge.

• At least 6-7 years of related experience.

• Possess experiences and knowledge on fundamental telecommunication links on cables, Microwave, Radio and Satellite.

• Experience in RF link budget, TETRA-radio, UHF Microwave, PAGA, VSAT etc.

• Possess experiences and knowledge on Security System - CCTV, Access Control System, Intrusion detection System, Road Barrier, Under Vehicle Surveillance System etc and integration with Honeywell DCS/SIS systems

• Network knowledge and experience in LAN/WAN with qualifications on CCNA as a minimum.

• Possess knowledge in Coverage study - CCTV, Radio, Radar, Sound. Able to perform any of the study will be added advantage

• Possess network design knowledge, Cisco certification preferred.

  Travel to site - local and overseas possible.
