Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and motivated TechOps Engineer to join our technology department. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the organization's missioncritical platforms and providing technical support for counterparty integrations, with a strong initial focus on our derivatives clearing system.

Beyond your core responsibilities, you will have opportunities to broaden your technical expertise through handson coding, supporting institutional clients, and overseeing IT projects and external vendors.

This position offers a dynamic, fastpaced environment and provides exposure to IT service management, information security, institutional client support, and continuous process optimization.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Technology Operation:
    Oversee the technical operations of missioncritical marketplace systems, including realtime system monitoring, coordinating upgrades, and ensuring platform stability and availability.
  • Regulatory & Compliance Alignment:
    Strengthen systems and operational processes to meet regulatory requirements. Continuously monitor compliance status, generate reports, and drive remediation efforts for any noncompliance issues.
  • Information Security Management:
    Implement security controls to safeguard organizational systems and data. Monitor security alerts and incidents, responding promptly to mitigate risks and enhance security posture.
  • Client Management:
    Provide technical support to clients during onboarding and system integration.Manage relationships with key system providers and service providers.
  • Automation & Coding:
    Develop automation solutions through handson coding to improve operational efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance system reliability.

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Core System Development:
    Opportunity to transition into a parttime or fulltime developer role if the candidate demonstrates strong technical competency and coding interest.
  • Vendor Management:
    Lead the evaluation and management of IT solution vendors, including onboarding, offboarding, performance monitoring, and periodic vendor reviews.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT, with a proven track record in software development or technical operations.
  • Strong handson experience in process automation
  • through coding (Python, JavaScript or Java)
  • Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and related tooling.
  • Indepth knowledge of the Financial Information eXchange (FIX) protocol and experience implementing SWIFT payment systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problemsolving abilities.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes-including Change, Incident, and Problem Management-is an advantage.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Knowledge of or experience in financial services, trading, or clearing houses is a plus.
