About the Role

A global consulting company is seeking a Technology Legal Counsel to join its Global Services Legal (GSL) team.

The Global Services Legal team partners closely with the business to help bring innovative technology products and services to market. As product counsel, the team advises on emerging technologies like AI, cloud computing, and software solutions, and works with specialist teams across intellectual property, data privacy, regulatory, and commercial contracting.

How will you make an impact in this role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reviewing software products and providing practical legal risk assessments to support go-to-market strategies.
• Advising on technology-related legal issues, including AI, SaaS, cloud services, software licensing and data-related products.
• Working with business teams and legal subject matter experts to assess new technologies, data use cases and regulatory considerations.
• Developing legal guidance, playbooks, templates and training materials for business and legal stakeholders.
• Supporting the design and implementation of legal processes, tools and risk assessment frameworks.
• Advising transaction teams on legal considerations to support successful product commercialisation.
• Collaborating with colleagues across Intellectual Property, Data Privacy, Regulatory, Strategic Partnering and Commercial Contracting teams.
• Conducting legal research and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the legal function.

Minimum Qualifications

• Singapore-qualified lawyer with a law degree and admission to practise in a relevant jurisdiction.
• 5+ years experience in private practice and/or an in-house legal environment.
• Strong experience drafting, reviewing and negotiating technology-focused commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on SaaS, software licensing, cloud services, software development or data licensing arrangements.
• Working knowledge of data privacy, intellectual property, open-source software licensing and technology product development.
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience working across global, cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
