Legal Counsel – Technology, Data Privacy & Digital

Partnering with a leading multinational organisation seeking a commercially minded lawyer to support technology, digital and data-related initiatives across Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate a range of commercial and technology agreements, including SaaS, software licensing, cloud, outsourcing, procurement and services contracts.
• Advise on data privacy, cybersecurity, AI, technology risk and digital regulatory matters.
• Support digital transformation, technology implementation and strategic business initiatives.
• Partner closely with business, product, technology, procurement and compliance stakeholders across multiple jurisdictions.
• Provide practical, risk-based legal advice and manage external counsel where required.

Requirements

• Qualified lawyer with approximately 4–12+ years PQE.
• Experience in technology, commercial, data privacy and/or cybersecurity matters gained in private practice or in-house.
• Strong contract negotiation, stakeholder management and business partnering skills.
• Familiarity with privacy and data protection frameworks (e.g. PDPA, GDPR or equivalent) would be advantageous.
• Experience supporting technology, software, telecommunications, digital platforms or multinational organisations is preferred.
