Key Responsibilities

As the Tech Lead, your role is to maintain integrity of existing apps built by our local and solution partner development teams and contribute to the improvement of their design and functional capability. You will create and maintain development standards and a governance framework across our locally developed applications, and ensure adoption of standardized design, development principles and the application lifecycle process.

  • Through partnership with global and local teams, develop a standardized development framework, processes and governance capability, ensuring adoption within the organization. Frameworks may vary based on technology and solutions used.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive architectural designs on products or systems to ensure consistency, maintainability, and flexibility.
  • Ensure quality and reliability: Leverage AI assisted coding to drive productivity, enforce code reviews, drive CI/CD, testing strategy (unit/integration/e2e), observability and monitoring.
  • Influence technology choices and provide technical leadership across all locally developed software solutions.
  • Review AS IS design documents for applications and third party solutions (SaaS/PaaS) and recommend updates to ensure compliance with development standards and governance.
  • Collaborate with developers to document and implement the updated designs, store artefacts in a central repository, and present them at the market solution design forum to ensure knowledge is shared and retained within the organization.
  • Manage technical debt: identify, prioritize and drive remediation work alongside feature delivery.
  • Ensure security, compliance and performance, best practices are followed. Embed shift-left security model, threat modeling into design reviews earlier in SDLC.
  • Track and report engineering metrics (velocity, cycle time, defect rate, availability) and act on them.
  • Collaborate with Delivery Leads to plan and deliver work: Develop technical documents and handbooks to accurately represent application design and code; estimate effort, prioritize tasks, drive sprint execution and releases
  • Write and review code, implement critical components, and unblock the team through hands-on contributions.
  • Mentor and grow engineers: provide feedback, conduct 1:1s, support career development and hiring.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Degree in computer science, engineering, or related discipline.
  • Strong experience in solution design where common software design principles and patterns have been adopted and implemented.
  • 7+ years of direct experience in designing and developing enterprise applications using No Code/ Low code platforms preferably OutSystems. Certified professional.
  • If experienced on other No Code/Low Code platforms, must be willing to learn OutSystems within 34 months (training provided).
  • Proficiency in web and mobile application development No Code/ Low code platforms (Mandatory).
  • Deep understanding of No Code/Low Code theories and concepts, like Workflow Automation, Component Reusability, Rapid Prototyping, and integration using REST/SOAP (Mandatory).
  • Familiar with microservices architecture and experienced in AWS cloud services.
  • Experience with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), caching, and messaging systems.
  • Familiarity with testing strategies, automated test frameworks, observability tools (logs, metrics, tracing), unit testing, and conducting code reviews; enforce segregation of non-production and production environments.
  • Experience setting up development frameworks, including source/version control (Git), branching strategies, versioning, change management (ServiceNow), and delivery tracking (Jira).
  • Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance-tuning skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication; comfortable working with cross-functional, local, global, and third-party stakeholders.
  • Experience in vendor management.
