EcoOils uses their technology to secure and gain access to affordable feedstocks within the sustainable aviation fuels (SAF) value chain via HEFA. EcoOils recovers waste vegetable oil from spent bleaching earth producing HEFA feedstock in the Asia Pacific region whilst meeting compliance needs in the EU. As a result, EcoOils presents a rare opportunity to grab market share for the production of low cost HEFA feedstocks for internal compliance needs or enable value uplift through sales.
This role will support the organisation in the identification, due diligence, scale up, integration and replication of technologies to increase the value proposition of EcoOils. The EcoOils Techonology Integration Manager will own the technology maturation plan including maintaining and executing the EcoOils IP strategy.
Responsibilities of the Technology Integration include:
1. Scouting third party technologies to provide technology options for potential value uplift to EcoOils.
2. Support the scale up and implementation of new process technologies.
3. Be an active member of the business opportunity team as the technology integration manager supporting in key decision making for new opportunities.
4. Support in the technical development of commercial projects.
5. Provide techno-commercial due diligence to commercial third party technologies and assess if they can be integrated into the existing EcoOils assets and/or technology.
6. Develop and implement the EcoOils technology maturation plan.
7. Maintain and execute EcoOils IP strategy.
Requirement:
1. PhD in Process Engineering or related engineering qualifications.
2. Strong background in process development and scale-ups.
3. Strong communication skils able to interface with technical and commercial colleagues.
4. Experience in technical project management and the ability to define technical programs to de-risk technologies before deployment.
5. Operational experience including startups and project implementation.
6. Able to communicate and work well in a teams.
7. Flow sheeting experience and experience using simulation software such as Aspen.
8. Solid understanding of Research and Development as well as deployment of novel concepts.
9. Experience working on site and working within multi-diciplinary project teams.
10. Process safety and safety experience including HAZOP, operating mode assurance reviews and risk management of project execution (ideally deploying new technology).
11. A minimum of 9 years working in a combination of R&D, technology development and manufacturing roles.
