Job Description

Our client is launching a new business and establishing a new manufacturing facility in Singapore. They are seeking a Technology Development Design Senior Engineer to join their team and contribute to advanced substrate manufacturing.

Reporting to: Technology Development Process Manager or as assigned

【 Responsibilities 】

1. Design & Engineering Support
- Perform Design Rule Check (DRC) activities and manage related system registrations.
- Apply Design for Manufacturability (DFM) principles and review customer feedback to improve design outcomes.
- Prepare, manage, and support customer approval of product specification drawings.
- Review first article development results in collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure readiness for high-volume manufacturing.
- Provide technical and engineering support for both in-process production and full-scale manufacturing.

2. Design Review & Continuous Improvement
- Participate in design reviews with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and design compliance.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Design of Experiments (DOE), Statistical Process Control (SPC), and Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA).

3. Technology Planning & Development
- Monitor customer requirements and industry trends, including materials and emerging technologies.
- Develop and maintain Design for Manufacturability (DFM) guidelines and checklists.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, certification, and other stakeholders to integrate simulation and analysis results into product development.

4. Customer & Supplier Technical Coordination
- Act as a key technical contact for customer inquiries.
- Coordinate test vehicle activities, including DOE planning, data collection, and analysis.
- Support technical discussions and issue resolution with vendors and suppliers.

5. Engineering Tools & Infrastructure Management
- Manage CAD/CAM/CAE/EDA tools and coordinate with vendors for system support, defect resolution, and licensing matters.
- Oversee engineering workstations to ensure system performance and operational efficiency.

6. Additional Responsibilities
- Perform other duties as assigned by the reporting manager to support project and organizational objectives.

Requirement

【Requirements & Preferences】

(Must)
- Diploma or Degree in Electronics, Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Technology, or related discipline.
- At least 3-5 years of Experience in semiconductor back-end processes or PCB design/manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of PCB manufacturing processes, including etching, plating, drilling, lamination, AOI, impedance control, and LDI.
- Proficiency in CAD/CAM/CAE/EDA tools such as:
o Cadence Allegro X Advanced Package Designer
o Stella Fine Vision
o IncamPro
o AutoCAD
o ANSYS HFSS and mechanical simulation tools
