Technology Architect - Financial Services

A leading organisation in the financial services sector is hiring a Technology Architect to support its ongoing digital transformation and technology modernisation. The role will work across application, data, integration, infrastructure and security architecture, helping to develop practical architecture standards and roadmaps while supporting the adoption of scalable, cloud-native and API-driven solutions.

Responsibilities:

You will work with technology, product and business teams to develop solution and technology architectures for key programmes and initiatives. This includes contributing to architecture roadmaps, reviewing technical designs and supporting the modernisation of legacy applications towards scalable and resilient platforms.

You will help establish architecture standards and reusable patterns across applications, data and integration, while assessing new technologies and platforms where appropriate. Working alongside engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure and architecture teams, you will provide practical guidance on technical decisions and ensure solutions are aligned with broader technology standards, security requirements and business needs

Requirements

You have solid experience in technology or solution architecture, with a good understanding of modern application architecture including microservices, event-driven architecture and APIs. You should also have exposure to data and integration technologies, cloud platforms, security and infrastructure, together with an understanding of SDLC, DevOps and cloud-native development.

You are comfortable working across technical teams and communicating architecture decisions to both technology and business stakeholders. Experience supporting digital transformation or application modernisation initiatives will be useful. Exposure to insurance or financial services, platform engineering, API management, or certifications such as TOGAF or cloud architecture certifications would be advantageous.
