The Opportunity

We are looking for a Techno-Functional Business Analyst with strong business analysis capabilities and a good understanding of .NET-based applications and enterprise technology solutions. You will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, translating business needs into clear functional and technical requirements and supporting solutions throughout the delivery lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Engage business stakeholders to understand business objectives, processes, pain points and system requirements.
• Gather, analyse and document business, functional and technical requirements.
• Translate business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, use cases, process flows and acceptance criteria.
• Work closely with developers, solution architects, QA teams and business stakeholders to ensure requirements are understood and implemented effectively.
• Support solution discussions for .NET-based applications, including application functionality, APIs, databases and system integrations.
• Perform functional and technical impact analysis for new requirements, enhancements and system changes.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and manage clarifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support backlog refinement, sprint planning and other Agile delivery activities.
• Support SIT and UAT, including test scenario preparation, defect clarification, requirements traceability and coordination with business users.
• Research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialised utility programs.
• Analyse user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.
• Update software, enhances existing software capabilities, and develops and direct software testing and validation procedures.
• Work with computer hardware engineers to integrate hardware and software systems and develop specifications and performance requirements.
• Identify requirement gaps, dependencies, risks and potential process or system improvements.
• Manage changes to requirements and assess their impact on scope and delivery.
• Prepare project documentation and provide clear updates to business and technical stakeholders.
• Independently manage requirements for assigned applications or workstreams and support junior team members where required.

To qualify for the role, you will need:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
• Minimally 3 years experience as a Business Analyst, Technical Business Analyst or Techno-Functional Business Analyst within technology projects.
• Strong experience in requirements gathering, requirements analysis, functional specification and stakeholder management.
• Good understanding of .NET/C# application environments and software development concepts.
• Good understanding of REST APIs, web services, system integrations and relational databases/SQL.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical specifications for development teams.
• Experience working closely with developers, architects, QA teams and business users throughout the SDLC.
• Experience supporting SIT, UAT, defect management and requirements traceability.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, documentation and communication skills.
• Ability to independently facilitate workshops and manage multiple business and technical stakeholders.
• Previous technical or development experience with C#, ASP.NET, ASP.NET Core or .NET Core.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server and database concepts.
• Exposure to Microsoft Azure, microservices or enterprise system integration.
• Experience using Azure DevOps, Jira and/or Confluence.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments.
• Experience in consulting, digital transformation or large-scale enterprise technology projects.
