Technician, Quality Control

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine gas sampling, testing and analysis.
• Operate GC and other gas analysers.
• Perform equipment calibration and verification.
• Conduct basic equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Record and review QC test results.
• Verify results against product/customer specifications.
• Prepare and issue COA where applicable.
• Analyse incoming, in-process and finished products.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and calibration standards.
• Support quality and equipment troubleshooting investigations.
• Maintain laboratory housekeeping and safe gas handling.
• Support audits, improvement activities and other assigned QC duties
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a safe laboratory environment
• Authorized to stop work and report any unsafe acts or conditions, and ensure compliance with all applicable Health and Safety regulations and procedures
• Adhere to established quality, environmental protection, health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualification and Skills

• NITEC/Diploma in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related discipline.

• (fresh graduates may be considered)

• Basic knowledge of analytical instruments and laboratory testing experience with Gas Chromatography (GC) and gas analysers is an advantage.

• Able to understand and follow SOPs, test methods, product specifications and safety procedures.

• Good documentation, communication and teamwork skills.
