JOB SUMMARY
The role is required to maintain the injection molding machines and its related auxiliary equipment in good condition to minimize down-time. The role also provides support to production to enhance or improve productivity through continuous improvement program.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform preventive maintenance and PM inspections
- Ability / experience in reading electrical and hydraulic prints and technical manuals
- Repair molding machines or any support equipment
- Read and or program PLC's
- Must have a working knowledge of Hydraulics, pneumatics and strong Mechanical skills
- Must be a strong Team Player and be able to set work priorities
- Must be able to identify parts required and find sources if needed.
- Plans schedules in the cleanup, maintenance, and repair of facilities, systems, equipment, and machines
- Establishes and adjusts maintenance priorities to minimize or eliminate down time which would adversely affect production operations
- Examines, evaluates, and trouble shoots machines and equipment to identify malfunction. Performs repair and coordinates with superior when necessary to remanufacture or rebuild parts. Contacts vendors when necessary to reorder replacement parts
- Establishes and maintains an inventory of critical components. Establishes necessary controls to assure supplies.
- May coordinate facilities improvement projects, arranging installation of machines or equipment and scheduling activities in a manner that minimizes disruption to production
- Evaluates maintenance contractors arranges for services and supervises timely completion of contracted tasks.
- Maintains records and files as needed to document and control maintenance activities.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE
- Diploma in electrical/electronics
- At least 3 years relevant working experience in plastic injection molding machine service and repair
- Able to read ladder diagrams
