Job Responsibilities

Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) for parts produced from new projects, new tooling, transferred tooling, Engineering Change Notice (ECN) tooling, and repaired tooling.
Perform dimensional and functional measurements using appropriate measuring and testing equipment in accordance with product drawings and specifications.
Compile and record inspection results in the First Article Inspection Report (FAIR) for customer submission.
Collaborate with internal departments to resolve issues related to First Article Inspection activities.
Develop and maintain Measurement Instructions for new parts and products.
Support the Quality Control team in the preparation and validation of First Article measurement programs.
Conduct Annual Layout Inspections in accordance with customer and quality requirements.
Ensure accurate documentation and maintenance of inspection records and reports.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by Management from time to time.

Requirements:

Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in First Article Inspection (FAI), preferably within the plastic injection molding or manufacturing industry.
Able to read, interpret, and understand engineering drawings, with working knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
Proficient in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM), Vision Measuring Machines (VMM), and various quality inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other measuring instruments.
Familiarity with quality inspection methodologies, measurement techniques, and reporting requirements.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
Possess good analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
