What You'll Be Doing

As a PDI Technician, you will be responsible for conducting thorough pre-delivery inspections, identifying defects, supporting rectification works, and ensuring vehicles are delivered in perfect condition in line with manufacturer and company standards.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Perform Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDI) in accordance with approved PDI checklists to ensure vehicles are defect-free before delivery.

  • Maintain repair quality standards to ensure all vehicles are in deliverable condition.

  • Identify external and internal vehicle damages originating from warehouse or port handling.

  • Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics using I-tools and check for any tell-tale warning signs.

  • Make clear recommendations on defects identified (repair, rework, or replacement) and ensure proper documentation control.

  • Carry out service and repair work in accordance with manufacturer guidelines and escalate technical issues to the Workshop Supervisor when required.

  • Salvage repairable parts where possible to reduce replacement costs without compromising safety or quality.

  • Perform vehicle retrofitting and installation of accessories based on sales orders.

  • Ensure warranty parts are cleaned, packed, and labelled correctly.

  • Report parts unavailability or damage promptly to the Workshop Supervisor.

  • Provide clear job feedback and write comments on add-job or service forms to confirm work completion.

  • Clock in/out accurately, report job completion promptly, and collect next assigned work orders.

  • Maintain good housekeeping practices and ensure a safe working environment at the work bay.

  • Carry out any other duties as assigned by supervisors.


Who We're Looking For

  • Minimum NTC 2, Nitec in Automotive Studies, or GCE O Level with relevant automotive certification.

  • Professional Certificate in Automotive Technician (Malaysia) is an advantage.

  • At least 3 years of experience in the automotive industry.

  • Knowledge or experience in Electric Vehicles is a strong advantage.

  • Hands-on experience in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs using diagnostic or special tools.

  • Good understanding of automotive electrical wiring diagrams and electronics.

  • Detail-oriented with strong quality and safety awareness.

  • Able to follow procedures, document findings accurately, and work independently.

  • Team player with a responsible and disciplined work attitude.
