The Technical Support Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of HVAC systems at site.
As the Technical Support Engineer, you will provide post-sale technical support for the startup, operation, service, and maintenance of HVAC System in the data center vertical. You will be able to assist data center customers and business partners in the troubleshooting process utilizing knowledge of HVAC System.
The roles will also require the Technical Support Engineer to collaborate with sales, application, engineering and manufacturing teams to schedule and prepare for factory witness tests in factories.
Responsibilities:
- Provide onsite and remote technical support and services for key data center customers and
- business partners
- Supporting data center customers or business partners (whenever necessary) with the installation,
- commissioning, and start-up of new HVAC systems to ensure they are set up correctly and functioning as intended.
- Regularly communicates with customers, addresses and meets their needs, and coordinates with the service team and subcontractors as necessary to ensure customer satisfaction.
- Diagnosing and resolving issues related to the operation, performance, and maintenance of HVAC
- Interact with other functional teams (Eg: Engineering, PSST) to provide customer support and
- achieve overall business unit objectives.
- Lead and /or participate as a team member on supporting teams such as field quality problem solving and field service communications.
- Troubleshooting electrical and mechanical problems in chiller systems, performing necessary repairs and adjustments, and handling warranty service tasks.
- Identify field problem trends and provide detailed information to departments relating to field or factory failures for product improvement processes.
- Travel to jobs to troubleshoot, train, provide field support and support in factory witness tests.
- And ad-hoc duties when required.
Requirement:
- Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or a related field is required to understand the technical aspects of the industry and effectively engage with engineering professionals.
- A minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in the HVAC field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to travel overseas (>30%) and work unsupervised with a can-do approach.
- Willingness to work after hours, on weekends, and during public holidays when required.
- Ability to follow procedures and policies as per company standards.
- Aptitude for systems, documentation control and workflows.
