Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair onboard electrical, electronic, automation, navigation, communication, and control systems.
Ensure the safe and reliable operation of DP systems and other mission-critical electrical equipment.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
Attend to electrical and control system defects promptly and ensure proper rectification.
Monitor the performance and condition of electrical equipment and report any abnormalities or recurring issues.
Coordinate with the Master, Chief Engineer, and shore-based technical team on electrical and DP-related matters.
Maintain proper records of maintenance, repairs, service reports, and spare parts usage.
Assist in the planning and monitoring of electrical spare parts and ensure critical spares are available onboard.
Support vessel inspections, audits, surveys, and servicing of electrical and electronic equipment.
Ensure all work is carried out in compliance with company procedures, safety standards, class, flag state, and statutory requirements.
Assist with troubleshooting during equipment breakdowns and support root cause analysis where required.
Keep technical manuals, drawings, and equipment documentation updated and properly maintained onboard.
