Technical Superintendent – Dry Bulk Fleet

(Owners Representative)

(Based in Singapore)

ORGANIZATION

Reporting to the Technical Manager, you will be part of the owner's representative team responsible for overseeing the technical performance, maintenance, compliance and operational reliability of assigned dry bulk vessels. You will play a key role in ensuring vessels operate safely, efficiently and in compliance with international maritime regulations while supporting cost control and continuous improvement initiatives across the fleet.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage and supervise technical aspects of vessel operations, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.
• Ensure vessels comply with safety, quality, environmental and statutory requirements.
• Plan, monitor and coordinate vessel repair, maintenance, dry docking and modification activities to ensure safe and efficient vessel operations.
• Support dry docking projects including planning, technical specifications, budgeting, execution, inspections and timely completion of repair works
• Review vessel operating budgets and monitor repair and technical expenses.
• Conduct vessel inspections and follow up on deficiencies, audit findings and corrective actions.
• Develop and implement technical guidelines, policies, and procedures to enhance operational efficiency.
• Coordinate and manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and external stakeholders.
• Provide technical support and guidance to onboard crews and shore-based personnel.

YOUR PROFILE:

• Qualified Chief Engineer/Technical Superintendent with sailing experience on Dry Bulk Vessels.
• Candidates wanting to transition from ship to shore also welcome to apply.
• Experience handling dry docking, vessel maintenance and technical troubleshooting.
• Exposure to vessel budgeting, cost analysis and repair planning.
• Familiarity with planned maintenance systems and technical reporting software; exposure to Trans software will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of classification, statutory and international maritime regulations.
• Strong coordination and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to work in a lean and fast-paced environment with an owner's mindset.
• Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
