Technical Superintendent

Job Description

• Overall technical management of assigned vessels
• Monitoring the condition and performance of main engines, generators, boilers, oil purifiers, and other machinery
• Planning and management of vessel maintenance and repairs
• Management and supervision of onboard repair and maintenance work
• Planning and supervision of dry-docking and repair projects
• Review of repair specifications, quotations, and invoices
• Technical support to the Master and Chief Engineer
• Investigation and troubleshooting of machinery breakdowns and technical problems
• Arrangement and management of spare parts and technical supplies
• Management and review of PMS (Planned Maintenance System)
• Coordination with Class, Flag State, and other relevant authorities
• Ensuring compliance with SOLAS, MARPOL, IMO requirements, Class rules, and company procedures
• Regular vessel visits and technical inspections
• Review and preparation of technical reports, repair reports, and maintenance records
• Providing emergency technical support when required

Job Requirements

• At least 5 years of onboard engineer experience
• At least 5 years of work experience as Technical Superintendent
• Strong knowledge of maritime regulations and compliance requirements, including ISM, SOLAS, MARPOL, Class and Flag State requirements
• Excellent technical, leadership and communication skills
