Technical Specialist – Cord Blood and Biological Sample

Position Overview:

We are seeking a Technical Specialist to join our team at StemCell Innovations Pte. Ltd. The successful candidate will assist in the separation and processing of cord blood and umbilical cords, quality testing, and specimen management.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Cord Blood and Umbilical Cord Processing:

・Assist in the separation, processing, and storage of cord blood and umbilical cord samples.

・Conduct technical training to qualify candidates as laboratory technicians.

・Revise and follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure proper handling of biological specimens.

2. Quality Testing:

・Perform basic quality control tests on processed samples under supervision.

・Document and report any deviations or anomalies in sample quality.

3. Specimen Management:

・Maintain accurate records of all samples, including their storage location and processing history.

・Ensure proper labeling and tracking of specimens.

4. Compliance and Safety:

・Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements in the handling of biological materials.

・Maintain a clean and organized work environment to prevent cross-contamination.

Qualifications and Experience:

・Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Biotechnology, or a related field.

・Minimum 3 years of experience in a laboratory, biological sample processing environment (e.g. cord blood banking, biobanking, cell therapy, clinical or GMP laboratories)

・Strong practical knowledge of laboratory techniques and safety protocols.

・Strong attention to detail and ability to follow SOPs.
