About the Role
Our client is seeking a commercially driven and technically competent Senior Sales & Product Management Engineer to drive growth and market success for assigned products and solution lines. This role combines technical sales, product management, business development, and customer engagement, serving as the key link between customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong engineering foundation, commercial mindset, and the ability to translate customer requirements into practical technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Develop and execute sales strategies to grow market share and revenue
- Identify, pursue, and secure new business opportunities across target industries
- Manage strategic customer accounts and build long-term relationships
- Provide pre-sales technical support including solution proposals, presentations, and commercial discussions
- Achieve sales targets through proactive account management and customer engagement
Product Management
- Manage product portfolio lifecycle from introduction, growth, maturity, to phase-out
- Act as product champion for assigned lines and solution categories
- Work closely with principals, OEM partners, and suppliers to align products with market demand
- Conduct market research, competitor analysis, and pricing reviews
- Support marketing campaigns, promotions, and go-to-market strategies
- Deliver product training to internal teams and customers
Technical & Cross-Functional Coordination
- Liaise with Engineering, Production, QA, Procurement, and Supply Chain teams
- Support technical issue resolution, product improvements, and customer escalations
- Coordinate sourcing, localisation, customization, and technical validation activities
- Review CAD drawings, BOMs, assembly drawings, and inspection documentation
- Ensure product quality and operational readiness across regional sites
Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Technical Sales, Product Management, Application Engineering, or Business Development
- Industry experience in one or more of the following sectors:
- Optics, Photonics, Mechanical Engineering, Precision Engineering, Instrumentation, Manufacturing, OEM Solutions
- Proven track record managing technical products, engineered systems, or industrial solutions
- Experience working with international suppliers and customers across Asia / Europe / US preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related discipline
- Strong understanding of optical systems, tolerances, materials, and precision assemblies advantageous
- Experience with CRM / ERP systems and Microsoft Office
- Familiarity with CAD drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation
- Strong communication, presentation, and commercial negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel regionally and internationally when required
