Responsibilities:
Position Overview
The IT Technical Project Manager is responsible for planning, executing, and delivering technology projects that support the organization's strategic and operational goals. This role blends project management expertise with strong technical acumen to drive endtoend project success. The IT Technical Project Manager works closely with crossfunctional teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure solutions are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Planning & Execution
- Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to closure, including scoping, requirements gathering, scheduling, resource planning, and change management.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and cost estimates.
- Monitor project progress using project management tools, ensuring adherence to milestones and deliverables.
2. Technical Leadership
- Translate technical requirements into actionable plans for engineers and stakeholders.
- Assess technology options, recommend appropriate solutions, and ensure technical feasibility.
- Manage system integrations, migrations, infrastructure upgrades, and application deployments.
3. Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact between IT teams, business units, and external vendors.
- Facilitate communication across stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and progress.
- Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and evaluate solution proposals.
4. Risk, Quality & Compliance Management
- Identify project risks, develop mitigation strategies, and maintain risk registers.
- Ensure projects comply with IT policies, cybersecurity standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices.
- Conduct quality assurance reviews, user acceptance testing (UAT), and postimplementation evaluations.
5. Budget & Resource Management
- Manage project budgets, financial tracking, and procurement processes.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to optimize delivery and manage workload.
6. Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including project charters, technical specifications, and status reports.
- Present regular progress updates to senior management and stakeholders.
Qualifications
Education & Certification
- Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Professional certifications (preferred):
- PMP, PRINCE2
- ITIL Foundation
- Agile/Scrum Master
- Relevant technical certifications (Microsoft, Cisco, AWS, Azure)
Technical Competencies
- Solid understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networks, cybersecurity, and enterprise systems.
- Experience managing technical projects such as:
- Cloud migration (Azure, AWS, AliCloud)
- Application Development (Java, C#.NET)
- Software deployments (GitHub, Azure DevOps)
- Low Code Development (ServiceNow, Outsystems)
- CRM project (Salesforce, Dynamics 365)
- Systems integration (KONG, MuleSoft, BizTalk, APIM)
- Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, ServiceNow, or equivalent.
