This is a 1-year contract.
Responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end capacity activations, including subsea and terrestrial fiber integration, backhaul systems, routers, site space and power readiness, equipment installation, cross-connects, and cabling.
- Define project tasks, allocate resources, and manage interdependencies to ensure timely delivery.
- Lead projects from requirements definition through deployment, including developing schedules, scopes, implementation plans, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate internal and external stakeholders to maintain adherence to project scope and timelines.
- Monitor project progress, analyze status, and adjust scope or schedules as required.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project updates, managing stakeholder expectations and escalating issues when necessary.
- Prepare regular project status reports and communicate potential risks and outcomes to management.
Requirements:
- 5-10+ years of project management experience in the telecom or network infrastructure sector.
- Proven expertise in optical transmission, fiber networks, end-to-end service activation, or service delivery within carrier or capacity user environments.
- Strong understanding of network infrastructure concepts, including submarine cables, terrestrial fiber networks, DWDM, routers, collocation services, equipment installation and commissioning, capacity lease services, cross-connects, cabling, ODFs, and network management.
- Proactive with the ability to escalate issues early when required.
- Certification such as PMP or equivalent project management experience.
