Technical Project Manager

About the Role

Our client is a large-scale regional technology group operating a broad portfolio of internet and digital services across Southeast Asia. Their internal infrastructure team provides end-to-end managed services covering data centres, cloud, networking, systems, storage, security, and business applications - serving multiple internal business units at scale. They are seeking a

Technical Project Manager (TPM)

to support and lead infrastructure projects from requirements gathering through to service launch and operational handover. This is an excellent opportunity for a delivery-focused professional to work at the intersection of technology and operations within a complex, fast-moving environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with business units, architects, engineers, and operations teams to define project scope, outcomes, assumptions, dependencies, and acceptance criteria
  
• Support proposal and RFP responses by contributing delivery feasibility assessments, project schedules, resource assumptions, and risk and dependency documentation
  
• Build and maintain comprehensive project plans covering milestones, critical paths, procurement dependencies, vendor commitments, testing windows, cutovers, and service handovers
  
• Coordinate domain owners across data centre commissioning, power and cooling readiness, server and storage deployment, network changes, and cloud or GPU infrastructure rollouts as relevant to each project
  
• Track risks, issues, decisions, and change requests resolve or escalate blockers and coordinate maintenance windows, rollback plans, and compliance requirements with accountable teams
  
• Drive testing coordination, operational readiness reviews, and acceptance documentation to confirm launch readiness before handover to operations or service teams
  
• Run project reviews and stakeholder communications appropriate to each assignment, including status reporting, milestone reviews, delivery trade-off discussions, and escalations through to acceptance and launch
  

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  
• At least 1 year of experience supporting or managing infrastructure or technology projects, with hands-on delivery exposure in one or more of the following: data centres, servers or storage, networks, cloud platforms, or GPU/AI infrastructure
  
• Sound grasp of project management fundamentals including schedule and dependency management, risk and change control, vendor coordination, and acceptance or handover planning
  
• Demonstrated ability to work across technical and non-technical teams, understand delivery dependencies, and coordinate contributors without direct line-management authority
  
• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate project status, risks, and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  
• Formal project management certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent (is a bonus)
