About the Role
Faststream Recruitment is pleased to be the exclusive partner to be supporting a maritime technology platform specialising in voyage optimisation, emissions management, and data-driven decision tools in recruiting 2 Technical Product Managers to drive product development and innovation.
This role focuses on building scalable digital solutions that integrate bunkering operations, fuel efficiency, and emissions data
into a unified platform, enabling ship owners and operators to optimise performance, reduce costs, and meet decarbonisation targets.
You will act as the bridge between maritime operations and engineering, translating complex workflows into high-impact, user-centric products.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Roadmap
- Define and execute product strategy for voyage optimisation, fuel analytics, and emissions tracking solutions
- Develop and manage a roadmap focused on improving fuel efficiency, cost optimisation, and carbon performance
- Identify opportunities to enhance integration across bunkering, voyage planning, and vessel performance systems
Technical Delivery
- Translate operational requirements into clear technical specifications and user stories
- Work closely with engineering teams on data integration, APIs, and platform architecture
- Manage agile development processes, including sprint planning and backlog prioritisation
Maritime & Bunkering Expertise
- Provide subject matter expertise in bunkering operations, including fuel procurement, planning, consumption tracking, and reconciliation
- Ensure solutions address challenges such as fuel cost optimisation, emissions reporting (e.g. IMO, CII, EU ETS), and operational transparency
- Support the digitalisation and optimisation of end-to-end bunkering and voyage workflows
Data & Product Optimisation
- Leverage vessel and fuel data to generate actionable insights
- Drive continuous product improvement through data analysis and user feedback
- Enhance platform capabilities as a single source of truth for voyage and emissions data
Stakeholder Management
- Engage with ship owners, operators, charterers, and bunker stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions
- Act as the key interface between business, product, and engineering teams
- Support product adoption and go-to-market initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Maritime Studies, Computer Science, or related field
- 3-7+ years of experience in product management, maritime operations, or technical roles
- Strong experience in bunkering operations is essential
- Familiarity with voyage optimisation, fuel performance, or emissions frameworks (e.g. IMO DCS, CII, EU ETS)
- Experience with data platforms, APIs, and analytics tools
- Strong understanding of vessel operations and maritime workflows
- Experience working in agile environments
Preferred Experience
- Background in maritime SaaS, voyage optimisation, or emissions platforms
- Exposure to AI-driven analytics or predictive modelling
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g. Power BI)
- Strong stakeholder engagement across technical and commercial teams
