Our Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) platform analyzes brand mentions across 5+ major LLM providers, provides actionable recommendations, and helps enterprise clients optimize their content for AI-powered search. We work with Fortune 500 companies in healthcare, finance, consumer goods, and other industries to ensure their brands are discovered, recommended, and cited by AI assistants.
We're seeking a Technical Product Manager who can bridge the gap between cutting-edge AI technology and real-world business impact. You'll own product features from conception to launch, working at the intersection of AI/ML, data analytics, and user experience to build products that solve complex optimization challenges for enterprise brands.
This role requires someone who can:
Think technically - Understand LLM APIs, data pipelines, and system architecture
Ship strategically - Prioritize ruthlessly and deliver iteratively
Lead cross-functionally - Work seamlessly with engineers, AI researchers, and designers
Empathize deeply - Understand both user needs and technical constraints
Own and drive the product roadmap for core GEO platform features (analysis modules, recommendation engines, content optimization agents)
Define product vision and strategy for new AI-powered features based on market trends and customer needs
Conduct competitive analysis of AI search landscape and identify differentiation opportunities
Balance short-term wins with long-term strategic initiatives
Write detailed product requirements documents (PRDs) and user stories with clear acceptance criteria
Work closely with engineering teams to design scalable, maintainable solutions
Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, and feature prioritization
Make technical trade-off decisions between speed, quality, and scope
Coordinate feature launches across frontend (React/Next.js), backend (Node.js/AWS Lambda), and AI/ML components
Collaborate with AI engineers to design and improve LLM-powered agents (GEO audit, content rewrite, messaging generation, etc.)
Define evaluation metrics and success criteria for AI-generated outputs
Manage prompt engineering workflows and version control
Balance AI model performance, cost, and latency constraints
Stay current with advances in LLM capabilities
Define key product metrics and build dashboards to track feature adoption and impact
Analyze user behavior data to identify friction points and opportunities
Run A/B tests and experiments to validate hypotheses
Build data-driven business cases for new features
Partner with enterprise clients to understand their GEO challenges and requirements
Conduct user research, interviews, and usability testing
Present product demos, roadmaps, and strategy to stakeholders
Gather and synthesize feedback from sales, customer success, and support teams
Create product documentation, tutorials, and training materials
Work with backend engineers on API design, database schema, and system architecture
Partner with frontend engineers on UI/UX design and implementation
Coordinate with DevOps on AWS infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring
Review code and provide product-focused feedback during pull request reviews
1-3 years in product management or related roles (product analyst, technical PM, APM programs)
2+ years working on AI/ML products, SaaS platforms, or data-intensive applications
Proven track record of shipping products from 0 to 1 or scaling products from 1 to 10
Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams (5-15 engineers)
Strong technical foundation: Can read and understand code (JavaScript/Python), review APIs, and discuss system architecture with engineers
AI/ML literacy: Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, embedding models, RAG systems, and AI evaluation metrics
Data fluency: SQL proficiency, experience with analytics tools (Mixpanel, Amplitude, Looker), A/B testing frameworks
Cloud infrastructure knowledge: Familiarity with AWS services (Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway) or equivalent cloud platforms
API design experience: REST APIs, GraphQL, webhooks, authentication/authorization
Expert at writing clear, detailed PRDs and technical specifications
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to break down complex problems into manageable, shippable increments
Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Linear, Asana)
User-centric mindset with experience conducting user research and usability testing
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience presenting to executives and enterprise clients
Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or related field
Prior engineering experience (former software engineer, data scientist, or technical role)
Experience with generative AI products (AI agents, LLM-powered applications)
Experience building B2B SaaS products for enterprise customers
Familiarity with Next.js, React, Node.js, PostgreSQL, Prisma
Understanding of prompt engineering best practices and LLM fine-tuning
Experience with multi-LLM architectures (routing, fallbacks, cost optimization)
Background in search, information retrieval, or NLP
Experience managing API integrations with third-party services (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google AI)

A: You don't need to be able to write production code, but you should be technically fluent enough to read code, review APIs, and have meaningful technical discussions with engineers. Bonus if you've built prototypes or written scripts.
A: Roughly 40% technical (PRDs, system design, data analysis), 40% strategic (roadmap planning, user research, stakeholder management), and 20% operational (sprint planning, standups, reviews).
