Technical officer(Environmental)

Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

• Oversee source emission tests, trade effluent sampling, waste management and indoor air quality monitoring.
• Follow up on test reports, review report contents for reasonableness and plausibility prior to immediate supervisors sign off and submit copy to the relevant government bodies.
• Oversee the coordination of toxic industrial waste management within the company and liaise with licensed toxic industrial waste collectors for collection.
• Carry out monthly legionella analysis/detection from fire-fighting systems and annual groundwater sampling checks/testing.
• Initiate Work Orders to keep track of tasks in system.
• Monitor water and energy consumption of the company, observe trends and compile reports.
• Collate statistics for general waste disposal etc.
• Ensure the company's compliance with ISO requirements, such as maintaining management systems and to carry out internal audits and facilitate external audits and regularly review environmental aspects and impacts assessments of the company to evaluate the effectiveness of the assessment.

Requirements:

• Diploma in Chemical/ Environment Engineering or related.
• At least 2years of relevant experience, preferably in waste or chemical plant.
• Possess knowledge in ISO14001.
• Able to work independently or as a team.
