Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager – Payments / Cards to lead the design, delivery, and support of payment and card-based technology solutions. The role involves managing technical teams, driving end-to-end delivery of payment systems, and ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, and compliant with banking and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage technical teams delivering payments and card platform solutions
  • Translate business requirements into technical designs and delivery plans
  • Oversee end-to-end project delivery including scope, timeline, quality, and budget
  • Collaborate with business, product, architecture, and vendor teams
  • Drive solution design discussions across payments, cards, integrations, and channels
  • Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and banking standards (PCI-DSS, data protection)
  • Review solution architecture, code quality, and technical deliverables
  • Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and technical issues with timely escalation
  • Support system upgrades, enhancements, and production stability
  • Mentor and guide technical team members to build strong in-house capability

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • 10–15 years of IT experience with strong exposure to payments and card systems
  • Proven experience managing technical teams and delivering complex banking solutions
  • Strong understanding of payment processing, card lifecycle, and transaction flows
  • Experience with Agile / SDLC delivery models
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives in parallel and drive execution

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
