ABOUT OUR ROLES

This role serves as the primary face of Client Onboarding (COB) in senior regional governance forums and acts as a strategic partner to Sales and Coverage team and also oversee the seamless delivery of client onboarding and KYC capabilities for APAC clients. The mandate is to balance regulatory adherence with a client-first philosophy, ensuring that the onboarding journey is a competitive differentiator for the firm. Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to possess the below qualifications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

A high-impact leadership role focused on driving the strategic evolution of the client experience across the Asia-Pacific region, which includes the 3 key strategic pillars below:

1. Senior Regional Governance & Representation

  • Forum Leadership: Represent COB at Regional Operating Committees (ROC) and Risk Committees, providing expert testimony on operational resilience and regulatory readiness.
  • Regulatory Liaison: Serve as the senior point of escalation for regional regulators (e.g., MAS, HKMA) regarding the firm's AML/KYC framework and client due diligence (CDD) standards.
  • Policy Influence: Contribute to the development of global onboarding policies, ensuring APAC jurisdictional requirements are integrated into the firm's global standards.

2. Operational Excellence & Innovation

  • Timely Execution: Oversee the end-to-end delivery of client onboarding and periodic KYC refreshes for APAC clients, ensuring all processes are completed in a streamlined and timely manner to avoid business disruption.
  • Digital Transformation: Sponsor the deployment of AI and Machine Learning tools to automate Onboarding and KYC processes.
  • Resource Optimization: Oversee a multi-million dollar regional budget, optimizing the footprint across onshore and offshore centers of excellence.

3. Strategic Sales Partnership (PMD Collaboration)

  • Client Experience (CX) Strategy: Partner with senior Sales PMDs to co-design onboarding journeys for Platinum and high-priority institutional clients.
  • Revenue Enablement: Minimize Time-to-Trade by identifying and removing friction points in the onboarding pipeline, directly supporting the firm's revenue-generation goals.
  • Joint Client Engagement: Participate in high-level client pitches and reviews to provide assurance regarding the firm's robust operational infrastructure and digital capabilities.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 10 years of progressive experience in Client Onboarding and KYC preferred
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
  • Effective problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgement
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a strong appreciation of client service
  • Manage risk effectively in the day-to-day processing of various tasks

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Understanding of various financial products and display interest in the financial markets
