The Company is an owner-operator and ship manager of offshore support vessels for the offshore marine oil and gas sector. Also provide ship management services which include repair and maintenance, crew management, operations safety, purchasing and procurement and marketing chartering and rental of equipment.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible to the Managing Director in controlling the day-to-day operations of the Offshore Support Vessels (OSV) - under 10 Fleets, managed by the respective business unit and 3rd Party's OSV. Keeping Vessel Technically ready.
To ensure the smooth and effective safe operation of the Company's vessels, ensuring that all safety and regulatory obligations are fully complied with during the course of delivering the most efficient and cost-effective solutions to our clients.
To carry out audits and vessel inspections to ensure the office staff and vessels crew continuously adhere to safe work practices.
To support the Marketing Department in Tender Submission.
To liaise with customers on the bridging of QHSSE documents to facilitate the satisfactory contract fulfilment to the end clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Technical
Overall responsible (custodian) for fleet's plan maintenance system and to ensure it is in place and functioning efficiently following planned schedules.
Oversee the execution of repairs, significant modifications, and installations to suit the project requirements, including budgeting, cost control, and delivery on
Ensure new-build vessels planned maintenance system & documentation under the owner's scope are ready for delivery.
Monitor vessel and fleet plan maintenance system.
Control cost & monitor budget
Approving Senior Engineer Officer recruitment & promotion and conduct duties familiarization to new senior engineering staff
Undertake technical modification / alteration to vessel to suit chartering requirement or to comply with new legislative or regulatory requirement
Organise technical team for special survey / intermediate survey/annual survey/
Making arrangements for inspection and accompanying regulatory authorities as may be required
Monitor the expiry of LSA, FFA, trading certificates and ensure timely renewal and liaise closely with classification societies and Flag state surveyor on survey requirement. Keeping vessels in class and ensure all annual and special survey are conducted by surveyor timely
To submit a monthly Technical KPI performance and status report of company fleet and vessel under its management
To conduct technical inspection if necessary, on board company vessels as per ship inspection schedule and communicating with Chief Engineer and ratings to determine any areas of improvement, concern or otherwise and acting on such areas whenever possible
Co-ordinating technical superintendents to ensure that the technical standards onboard each vessel and the required support from the share base is maintained
To follow up with purchasing department on technical requisition that is required by vessels
Managing and following up on any emergency or other cases such as explosion, flooding, pollution, catastrophic engine failure as per Company emergency procedure
Identification and follow up for resolution of actual and potential problem areas in the technical department with a broader industry overview.
Co-ordinating / channeling the flow of technical information and instructions to superintendents
Develop and maintain effective vessels deficiency tracking system. Circulating of important technical findings from substandard conditions and damages and initiation of corrective measures
Ensuring that technical instructions, checklists and procedures for each vessel are established by the Superintendents and ensure follow up action by the vessel crew

Provide input and feedback to the new build team for improvement on new build projects, especially on energy, and environment-related designs
QUALIFICATIONS :
Chief Engineer Ticket holder preferred with more than 5 years sailing experience and 5 years of shore offshore ship management exposure
Degree in Mechanical engineering or Naval Architecture with new building and ship management experiences
Strong knowledge for barge / workboat / AHTS / DSV / MPSV vessel operations
