Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies to safeguard the company's IT infrastructure and data assets
- Monitor, analyse and respond to security threats and incidents, ensuring timely and effective remediation
- Oversee the deployment and management of security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure security is integrated into all aspects of the business
- Provide expert guidance and training to employees on security best practices and incident response protocols
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cybersecurity trends, regulations and industry standards, and recommend improvements to enhance the company's security posture
- Manage and mentor a team of cybersecurity professionals, fostering their professional development and maintaining a high-performing, collaborative culture
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a senior cybersecurity or information security role, preferably in the information and communication technology industry
- Strong technical expertise in designing, implementing and managing enterprise-level security solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and access controls
- In-depth knowledge of security frameworks, industry regulations (e.g. GDPR, HIPAA) and best practices in cybersecurity
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical and critical thinking skills to identify and mitigate security risks
- Proven track record of leading and mentoring a team of security professionals
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally with stakeholders at all levels
- Relevant certifications (e.g. CISSP, CISM, CISA) are highly desirable
