Technical Manager / Application Manager (Physical Security System / System Integration - CCTV/VMS)

Description:

This role will oversee the delivery of technical projects, ensure systems are implemented according to client requirements, and guide engineers in the configuration, testing, and commissioning of integrated platforms. He / she will lead a team responsible for deploying and supporting enterprise security and system integration solutions for regional clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Application Engineers responsible for technical project delivery and system implementation.

• Work closely with project managers and clients to understand operational requirements and translate them into effective system solutions.

• Oversee system design, configuration, and integration activities across multiple technologies and platforms.

• Ensure projects are delivered according to scope, timeline, and quality standards.

• Develop test plans, coordinate system validation, and support commissioning activities before project handover.

• Guide engineers in the deployment and configuration of server environments, application software, and supporting services.

• Monitor system performance and ensure proper backup, maintenance, and optimization procedures are implemented.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to customize solutions based on client operational workflows.

• Participate in technical reviews, proposal preparation, and solution planning for new opportunities.

• Maintain accurate technical documentation, system architecture diagrams, and operational procedures.

Team Leadership & Operational Management

• Manage day-to-day activities of the engineering team including project assignments, scheduling, and workload planning.

• Mentor engineers to strengthen both technical capability and professional development.

• Support recruitment planning and participate in hiring processes when expanding the team.

• Conduct regular performance discussions and provide guidance on career development.

• Review technical proposals, RFI/RFP documentation, and contribute engineering input during project bidding stages.

• Ensure adherence to internal policies, quality standards, and workplace safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline.

• At least 5 years of experience managing technical teams or engineering professionals.

• Background in system integration, enterprise technology deployment, or security systems is highly advantageous.

• Experience delivering technical projects involving system configuration, testing, and deployment.

• Strong understanding of server environments, applications, and integrated system architectures.

• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical teams and business stakeholders.

• Experience working in client-facing environments and delivering enterprise solutions.

Preferred Experience

• Candidates with experience in any of the following areas will have an advantage:
• Integrated security systems (e.g., access control, surveillance, monitoring platforms)
• Enterprise system deployment and integration
• Infrastructure and application configuration
• Technical consulting or solution engineering
• Large-scale technology projects across corporate or industrial environments
