Technical Lead / Senior API Architect

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end design and development of REST APIs, including architecture decisions, code reviews, and technical governance.

• Provide hands-on technical leadership to software engineers, driving development best practices and high-quality delivery.

• Architect, design, and implement API enablement frameworks, integration solutions, and enterprise-grade API services.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align API solutions with broader enterprise architecture strategies.

• Demonstrate expertise across industry patterns, cloud architecture techniques, and integration frameworks on AWS, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), and Akamai.

• Oversee and participate in the full development lifecycle, from requirement analysis to deployment and performance tuning.

• Ensure robust, secure, and scalable API implementations with optimal performance, reliability, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Experience

• 14-18 years of relevant experience in Application Development or in a senior-level Enterprise Architecture role.

• Strong hands-on expertise in Java-based REST API development.

• Proficiency in Spring, Spring Boot, and caching technologies such as Redis or Hazelcast.

• Experience with event-driven messaging services such as Kafka or Solace.

• Deep technical understanding of cloud platforms including AWS, PCF, and Akamai.

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, conducting architectural reviews, and enforcing engineering best practices.

• Ability to guide technical decisions while staying actively involved in coding and solution implementation.
