Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure & Database Operations Lead to oversee a team of Technical Assurance (TA) engineers responsible for infrastructure and security-related operations
The successful candidate will take ownership of multiple enterprise application products, drive operational excellence, and serve as a key technical contributor in architecture and integration discussions.
Roles & Responsibilities
Team Leadership
. Lead a team of TA engineers handling infrastructure and security-related tasks
. Set and define operational processes and standards across the team
. Mentor team members and drive technical capability development
Application Ownership
. Take ownership of multiple application products and their operational aspects, including:
- Patching and lifecycle management (WebSphere, IBM MQ, QlikSense, SharePoint, Pega, etc.)
- Application support, health monitoring, and incident response
Architecture & Integration
. Participate in application architecture sessions with build teams
. Provide technical inputs on integration points such as Web Services, MQ interfaces, and SFTP
. Advise on infrastructure design for fault-tolerant and highly available systems
Operational Processes
. Define and enforce OS-level and application-level patching schedules
. Oversee operational housekeeping, data archival, and backup & recovery procedures
. Establish and maintain monitoring across IT systems and application assets
Security & Compliance
. Apply and maintain Government-level security hardening concepts and practices
. Conduct and respond to vulnerability assessments and security scanning
. Maintain a strong security posture and mindset across all managed systems
Troubleshooting & Support
. Troubleshoot complex application and infrastructure-related problems
. Provide operational on-site support upon notice, including after office hours
. Serve as an escalation point for critical incidents
Database Administration
. Administer and maintain Oracle (19c) and MSSQL database environments
. Perform performance tuning using Oracle AWR reports and associated tooling
. Manage Oracle GoldenGate (OGG) replication (advantageous)
