Role Overview
The Technical Lead - Android will drive end-to-end mobile application architecture, lead engineering teams, and ensure scalable, high-quality Android solutions aligned with business and user experience goals.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead technical design, architecture reviews, and solution planning.
- Guide engineers on best practices and development methodologies.
- Own sprint planning, delivery prioritisation, and release readiness.
- Ensure scalability, performance optimisation, and secure coding.
- Collaborate with designers, backend teams, product owners, and QA.
- Enable automation, CI/CD integration, and continuous improvement.
- Troubleshoot complex issues and ensure service stability.
Requirements
- 8+ years experience in Android app development.
- Strong Kotlin/Java programming, MVVM/MVP patterns, REST API integration, Firebase, and Jetpack.
- Experience in mobile architecture leadership/mentoring.
- Familiarity with cloud services, CI/CD, mobile DevOps, testing frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder communication and solution ownership mindset.
