WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS

Most companies hire journalists to polish their image. We are not doing that.

Homeone Group installs and services water heaters, gas systems, aircon, electrical, and plumbing across Singapore. Our technicians carry out over a hundred jobs a week. Every single day, something instructive happens - a close call on a live gas line, a non-compliant installation caught before handover, a job done right under pressure. These stories exist. They are simply not being told.

Your job is to watch the operation as it unfolds in real time, identify the stories that matter, and write them upas articles that are technically accurate, genuinely readable, and published with real photos. The goal is for Google, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and every AI search engine to surface Homeone's content when people look for answers on gas work, water heaters, and electrical compliance - because the content is genuinely useful, not because it was optimised by an algorithm.

THE JOB IN PLAIN TERMS

. Monitor our live operations WhatsApp group daily - this is where the entire field operation runs

. Identify stories worth writing: technical explanations, near-misses, compliance issues, unusual jobs

. Follow up with technicians, the compliance manager, and the planning team to get the facts right

. Write clear, accurate, long-formarticles and publish them to our WordPress site

. Attend site when a story warrantsit - bring your phone, shoot photos and short video

. Use AI tools as your primary research and drafting assistant - this is expected, not optional

. Learn basic HTML and CSS to control how articles look before our web team does final polish

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

No specific background is required. We will teach the technical side. What we cannot teach is the following:

You want to understand how things work, not just describe that they exist.

You care whether the article was accurate and useful, not whether it looked professional.

Comfortable Being Wrong

You can write a first draft that is wrong and fix it. You do not treat corrections as criticism.

Fast and Self-Directed

The operation does not wait. Stories from today are stale by next week.

ON AI USE

This role requires heavy, daily use of AI tools - ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, or whichever you find most effective. We expect you to use AI to research, structure, and draft articles. What we expect you to add is judgment: knowing what the AI got wrong about agas installation, catching a technical inaccuracy before it gets published, asking the compliance manager the follow-up question the AI would not know toask.

If you have never seriously used AI writing tools, this is not the role for you at this stage. If you use them daily and know their limits, we want to hear from you.

. Anyone who treats AI tools as beneath them or is waiting to be taught how to use them
