Technical Engineer (Cloud Platform ) - Contract

Our client is seeking a hands-on Technical Engineer to design, build, secure, and operate scalable cloud platforms supporting enterprise and mission-critical systems. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise across cloud infrastructure, automation, security, and operations - and thrives in complex, regulated environments.

Key Responsibilities

Cloud Platform Engineering

- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure on AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Nutanix

- Build highly available, scalable, and secure cloud architectures for enterprise workloads

Infrastructure as Code & Automation

- Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation

- Automate provisioning, configuration management, and environment promotion across dev / test / prod

- Reduce manual operational effort through scripting and pipeline automation

Cloud Security & Compliance

- Implement IAM, network security, encryption, and secrets management across cloud environments

- Apply security baselines, hardening standards, and compliance controls aligned to industry frameworks

- Work with security teams to support audits, vulnerability remediation, and policy enforcement

Operations, Monitoring & Support

- Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using cloud-native observability tools

- Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and incident resolution for production environments

- Support performance tuning, capacity planning, and disaster recovery processes

Documentation & Stakeholder Collaboration

- Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, SOPs, and runbooks

- Work closely with delivery leads, architects, and client stakeholders to align platform decisions

What We're Looking For

- Strong hands-on experience with one or more major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Nutanix)

- Proficiency with IaC tools: Terraform, ARM/Bicep, or CloudFormation

- Solid understanding of cloud security principles, IAM, and compliance controls

- Operational discipline with monitoring, alerting, incident management, and on-call processes

- Excellent communication skills for technical documentation and stakeholder engagement

- Comfort working in complex, regulated, or highly sensitive delivery environments
