Technical Director, Building Structure
Basic Salary upto $18,000
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the Building Structures division and its operations.
- Provide technical leadership and authority for structural engineering projects.
- Ensure compliance with engineering standards, QA/QC, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee project delivery, risk management, and quality performance.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams on complex projects.
- Develop resource planning and optimise workforce utilisation.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and support business development.
- Prepare and review technical proposals and tender submissions.
- Manage project budgets, profitability, and financial performance.
- Mentor engineers and develop technical capabilities within the team.
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and digital engineering adoption.
- Establish engineering procedures, standards, and knowledge-sharing practices.
- Ensure workplace health, safety, and environmental (HSE) compliance.
- Monitor project KPIs, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Support talent development, succession planning, and organisational growth.
Requirements:
- Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering (Bachelor's/Master's).
- Registered Professional Engineer (PE) preferred.
- 15+ years experience in engineering design consultancy.
- Strong multidisciplinary project management experience.
- Proven leadership and people management skills.
- Experience in structural design and contract administration.
- Excellent client and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong commercial and business acumen.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and teams simultaneously.
- Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
