Technical Delivery Team Manager

This manager leads the technical delivery of major payment-card technology projects—from initial planning through development, testing, migration, production launch, and post-launch support.

The role requires both delivery leadership and sufficient technical knowledge to challenge designs, guide developers, manage dependencies, and intervene when projects encounter technical issues.

Main responsibilities:

• Lead application-development teams delivering card-platform projects.
• Plan deliverables, budgets, timelines, resources, and technical dependencies.
• Translate business requirements into technical delivery plans.
• Coordinate developers, architects, security specialists, analysts, testers, and vendors.
• Ensure solutions meet architecture, security, and control standards.
• Oversee SIT, UAT, performance, security, and penetration testing.
• Manage technical risks, issues, and project escalations.
• Plan production implementation and system cutover.
• Ensure a smooth launch and adequate post-implementation support.
• Provide L3 support when required.
• Maintain project documentation and delivery status reports.

Required skills and experience:

• More than 10 years delivering regional or global card-technology solutions.
• More than 5 years leading IT card-delivery teams.
• Experience managing large card projects in banking or financial services.
• Hands-on card-migration delivery experience.
• Strong knowledge of Cardlink or VisionPlus.
• Understanding of CICS, COBOL, 3D Secure, card APIs, loyalty, and rewards platforms.
• Familiarity with Java and Oracle Database.
• Experience managing budgets and cross-functional teams.
• Able to communicate with senior business and technical stakeholders.
