Job Description

Technical Skills & Experience

  • Strong technical knowledge of SAS and Linux platforms.
  • Good business domain knowledge in at least one area (e.g., Treasury, Retail Banking).
  • More than 15 years of proven experience in developing and delivering global or regional IT capabilities within a multinational or regional organization, with experience in managing budgetary responsibilities.
  • Over 8 years of leadership experience managing IT delivery teams.
  • Strong communication skills with technical stakeholders.
  • Experience in the banking industry is preferred.
  • Experience in implementing large‑scale, high‑availability applications or leading major project implementations.
  • Knowledge and experience with service‑oriented technologies.
  • Results‑oriented with a strong focus on delivery.
  • At least 8 years of hands‑on systems development experience, including coding, creating functional and technical specifications, system development, and testing.
  • Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).
  • Highly effective in communicating with technical stakeholders and proficient in communicating with non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, analytical capabilities, systems thinking, and solution design skills

Asset and Liability Management Application

  • Plan technical deliverables (including system enhancements and upgrades) to meet project requirements within the allocated budget and schedule.
  • Collaborate across multiple application teams to manage technical dependencies and oversee the development of required enhancements.
  • Plan, monitor, and manage risks and issues related to technical delivery.
  • Provide regular technical delivery status updates to the Project Manager (PM), Program Manager, and Team Lead.
  • Partner with System Analysts, Functional Business Analysts, and SMEs to gather, understand, and finalize functional and technical requirements.
  • Provide system inputs during the specification phase (e.g., effort estimation, high‑level delivery plan, impact assessment).
  • Work closely with Architects and Development Leads to ensure solution design adheres to enterprise architecture principles, security, and control standards.
  • Partner with the Test Manager to ensure successful completion of System Integration Testing (SIT), User Acceptance Testing (UAT), performance/load testing, and application security testing with high‑quality outcomes.
  • Prepare and manage the technical implementation plan across application teams, coordinating activities to ensure smooth production cutover and effective post‑implementation support.
  • Escalate issues that may impact the project schedule in a timely manner and propose viable workarounds or resolutions

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant professional or technical certifications are advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Strong knowledge of SAS tools and SAS development background; experience with SAS Viya is preferred.
  • Working experience on Linux platforms is preferred

Leadership & Soft Skills

  • Experience leading technical delivery teams in complex enterprise environments
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, especially when engaging senior RISK management stakeholders
  • Strong communication skills with both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
  • Results‑driven, proactive, and able to manage concurrent initiatives in fast‑paced environments

Requirements

Key Domain/ Technical Skills:

SAS and Linux platforms.
