About Atlas Nextwave

Atlas NextWave is the Recruitment Partner of choice within the Clean Energy, Sustainable Infrastructure, ESG, Impact Investment, Climate-Tech & Technology sectors. We are committed to supporting industries battling climate change towards a net-zero future and a sustainable economy.

About the role

We are looking for a detail-oriented Technical Copy Editor to join our client in the video editing SaaS space. In this role, you will not be creating documentation from scratch, but instead refining and elevating existing draftstransforming complex technical content into clear, accurate, and user-friendly resources.

You will play a critical role as the final quality gate, ensuring documentation is not only well-written, but also aligned with real-world post-production workflows and user needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review and enhance technical documentation (e.g. user guides, feature documentation, API references) to improve clarity, structure, and flow
  • Cross-check documentation against product functionality and engineering inputs to ensure step-by-step accuracy for end users
  • Maintain a consistent tone, terminology, and structure across all documentation in line with internal style guidelines
  • Perform detailed proofreading to identify and correct grammar, formatting, and content inconsistencies
  • Support the maintenance and improvement of documentation templates to ensure usability and consistency across teams
  • Work closely with technical writers, product managers, and engineers to refine content and ensure alignment
  • Provide constructive feedback to writers to improve overall documentation quality over time
  • Ensure all content meets internal standards, security protocols, and approval requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field
  • 2+ years of experience in copy editing, technical editing, or documentation review within software, IT, or media technology environments
  • Familiarity with video editing or post-production workflows (e.g. color grading, VFX, media pipelines) is highly preferred
  • Experience with documentation tools and workflows such as Markdown, track changes, and content management systems
  • Strong command of written English with excellent attention to detail
  • Highly meticulous with a strong sense of ownership over quality
  • Able to think from an end-user perspective and ensure content is practical and easy to follow
