Position Summary
We're looking for a skilled and proactive Technical Consultant with hands-on development experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations. This role blends application support, technical consulting, and solution development to enhance our financial systems and deliver scalable, high-impact improvements. You'll work closely with the Global IT teams, and external partners to design, build, and support solutions that drive operational efficiency across global entities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide high-level technical support and consulting for D365 Finance & Operations, with a focus on Finance modules (AP, AR, GL, Project Management, Sales/Purchase Orders).
- Analyse business requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.
- Design, develop, and test customizations, enhancements, and integrations using X++, Power Platform, and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with functional consultants to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients and internal teams on D365 F&O capabilities and best practices.
- Own and manage Application Change Requests, ensuring timely delivery and stakeholder alignment.
- Support a global user base, providing necessary guidance, technical documentation, and training.
- Maintain clear documentation of support tickets, development work, and system changes.
- Conduct all levels of testing (unit, system, and support User Acceptance Testing - UAT) for new changes.
- Assist with audit processes by providing system data and technical documentation.
- Create and maintain user manuals, technical guides, and training materials.
- Liaise with internal and offshore IT teams to coordinate development and support efforts.
- Stay current with D365 platform updates and contribute to upgrade and release planning.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5 years or above of experience with Microsoft Dynamics AX/365 F&O in a technical role.
- Proficiency in X++ development, including experience with extensions, event handlers, and data entities.
- Strong understanding of D365 F&O architecture, data model, and integration frameworks (e.g., Data Management Framework, OData).
- Working experience with SQL Server and T-SQL.
- Familiarity with modern software development lifecycle tools, such as Azure DevOps, for source control and project management.
- Knowledge of Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) is a plus.
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications (e.g., MB-300, MB-500) are highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage technical tasks both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
