Technical Consultant - Development, Automation & Testing

Location: Changi, Singapore

About the Role

We are seeking a Technical Consultant to support the development, configuration and testing of solutions across banking technology workstreams covering error handling, automated recovery and system dependencies.

Working alongside Lead and Senior Consultants, you will implement technical components, support integrations, execute testing and prepare documentation through deployment and post-production support.

Key Responsibilities

Development and Configuration

• Develop and configure components based on approved specifications.

• Implement error-handling logic, API integrations and data mappings.

• Configure monitoring dashboards, alerting rules and automated workflows.

• Write scripts and automation tools to support deployment activities.

• Assist with AI/ML model integration and testing.

Testing and Validation

• Execute functional, integration, regression, smoke and sanity tests.

• Validate data accuracy, system behaviour and integration points.

• Document test results, log defects and work with developers to validate fixes.

• Support UAT, deployment verification and production readiness.

Documentation and Support

• Prepare technical documentation, configuration guides, user guides and FAQs.

• Document system configurations, integrations and dependencies.

• Develop training materials and conduct user training sessions.

• Provide production support during hypercare and escalate issues appropriately.

Collaboration

• Work with technical and business teams to clarify requirements and deliver assigned features.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives.

• Highlight delivery risks and technical issues to senior team members.

• Contribute to reusable assets and process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related discipline.

• 4-5 years of relevant experience in software development, testing or technical support.

• Hands-on programming experience in Java, Python or JavaScript.

• Understanding of APIs, databases and integration patterns.

• Experience with software testing tools and methodologies.

• Familiarity with AWS, Azure or GCP.

• Strong analytical, troubleshooting and documentation skills.

• Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.

• Attention to detail, ownership and willingness to learn.

Added Advantage

• Banking or financial-services application experience.

• Familiarity with Grafana, Splunk or other monitoring tools.

• Basic understanding of AI/ML concepts and integration.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum.

• Experience using Confluence or SharePoint.
