Technical Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Technical Business Analyst to bridge business requirements with technical implementation for banking platforms. The candidate will work closely with clients, developers, QA, and operations teams to deliver high-quality solutions, particularly in the payments and accounting/ledger domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse, and document business and technical requirements (BRD, FRD, API specs, user stories).
• Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Translate banking and payment /billing system requirements into clear functional specifications.
• Support solution design discussions with architects and developers.
• Participate in sprint planning, backlog grooming, UAT support, and release activities.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones and assigned deliverables.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams including development, QA, DevOps, and operations.
• Conduct client meetings, requirement walkthroughs, and solution presentations.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and gaps early and propose mitigation plans.
• Maintain high quality documentation and ensure traceability across requirements and implementation.
• Review functional and technical designs to ensure testability and requirement coverage.
• Support SIT and UAT phases by clarifying requirements, validating test scenarios, and resolving defects.

Mandatory Requirements:

56 years of relevant experience as a Business Analyst / Technical Business Analyst, preferably in banking or financial services projects.

Business Domain Knowledge (Mandatory)

Strong understanding of Banking systems, especially:

Payments (real-time & batch)

Accounting & General Ledger systems.

Transaction processing flows

Reconciliation and settlement concepts

Technical Skills (Mandatory)

Strong knowledge of Java, SQL, and Linux/Unix environments.

Good understanding of Spring Boot based applications.

Experience in analyzing APIs, logs, database schemas, and system integrations.

Ability to work with developers on debugging and production issue analysis.

Testing Skills (Mandatory)

Strong understanding of Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC) and defect management process.

Experience in preparing and reviewing test scenarios, test cases, and test data.

Hands-on experience supporting SIT, UAT, and regression testing.

Ability to validate business flows for payments and accounting/ledger systems.

Experience working with defect tracking tools such as JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar.

Knowledge of API testing using tools like Postman / Swagger is a plus.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. Technical Skills (Good to Have / Plus)

Experience with Microservices architecture.

Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, and DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP) is an advantage
