The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java, Cobol, and SQL, and an ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions and support.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Support
- Translate business needs into technical requirements.
- Analyze and design enhancements to existing functionalities.
- Perform data mining and testing to ensure solutions meet business objectives.
- Collaborate with users, developers, and project leads to improve processes.
Technical Support
- Assist in Java application development and post-implementation troubleshooting.
- Write and optimize SQL queries for reporting and analysis.
- Support users with technical issues and enhance system performance.
Problem Solving
- Diagnose and resolve issues in Java/Cobol applications and SQL databases.
- Analyze operational challenges and recommend improvements.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Contribute to system improvements and process automation.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- Minimum 23 years of experience with Java, Cobol, and SQL.
- 2+ years in SDLC and change request implementation.
- 2+ years in operations or BAU support.
- Proficiency in SQL and query optimization.
- Solid business analysis and problem-solving skills.
