Job Description
We are looking for an energetic and results-driven Team Lead - Roadshow Sales to lead and motivate our Roadshow Sales team in promoting digital upskilling programmes.
You will oversee daily roadshow activities, coach team members, drive enrolment performance, and ensure every customer interaction delivers a positive and professional experience. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with people, thrives in a target-driven environment, and is comfortable leading a team in fast-paced outdoor events.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership & Performance
- Lead, motivate, and manage the Roadshow Sales team to achieve enrolment and sales targets.
- Set daily and event-level targets and monitor individual and team performance.
- Coach team members on customer engagement, product knowledge, sales techniques, and closing skills.
- Provide regular feedback and guidance to improve team performance.
- Support onboarding and on-the-job training for new team members.
- Identify performance gaps and work with team members to develop improvement plans.
Roadshow & Event Sales
- Lead the team at roadshows, exhibitions, mall activations, career fairs, and other promotional events.
- Engage members of the public and create awareness of our digital skills programmes.
- Guide potential learners on suitable digital career pathways and upskilling opportunities.
- Personally engage prospects and support the team in converting enquiries into enrolments.
- Ensure the team maintains a professional, energetic, and positive presence throughout each event.
- Coordinate team deployment, breaks, and daily activities during roadshows.
Sales & Customer Conversion
- Drive lead generation, follow-ups, applications, and enrolments generated from roadshows.
- Monitor leads and ensure timely follow-up through calls, messages, and other communication channels.
- Handle escalated customer enquiries and support the team in overcoming objections.
- Track sales and enrolment progress and provide regular updates to management.
- Identify opportunities to improve conversion rates and overall roadshow performance.
Operations & Reporting
- Ensure roadshow activities are properly executed according to company guidelines.
- Maintain accurate records of leads, applications, enrolments, and sales performance.
- Prepare daily or event-based performance reports when required.
- Work closely with the Sales and Operations teams to coordinate upcoming roadshows and campaigns.
- Ensure team members adhere to company policies, customer service standards, and event requirements.
Requirements
- Good English proficiency.
- At least 2-3 years of sales, retail, events, customer service, or business development experience, with prior team-leading or supervisory experience preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the confidence to engage people from all walks of life.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, motivate, and coach a team towards sales targets.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-driven environment.
- Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
- Willing to work weekends and public holidays on a rotational basis.
- Comfortable working extended event hours, typically 10am - 9pm, depending on roadshow schedules.
- Willing to work at outdoor roadshows, exhibitions, malls, and other event venues.
- Experience in education, digital skills, training, or EdTech sales is an advantage.
